What Is a Neural Network?

A neural network is a computing system loosely inspired by the brain, made of layers of connected units that each apply simple math. By adjusting the connection weights during training, the network learns to map inputs to outputs — recognizing images, translating text, and more. Deep neural networks with many layers are the basis of modern AI.
