What Is Agentic AI?

Agentic AI is a term for AI systems that behave like autonomous agents — setting sub-goals, using tools, and taking multiple steps to accomplish a task with limited human intervention. It became a leading theme in 2024–2025 as companies moved from single-turn chatbots toward assistants that can carry out workflows on a user’s behalf.
